When we opened our doors in 2009, nobody in meat-eating Amarante believed in the idea of vegetarian food.
We are famous for our torradas, freshly squeezed fruit juice, Student Menu, vegetarian Francesinha, and locally grown products from our garden and local producers.
We try our best so what you have on your plate from Bar do Girassol is the best you can get.
For the ones that can’t visit us daily, we give them the option to be Bio Fair and Local at home! We sell several Fair Trade products (chocolate, coffee, tea or biscuits for example) in our Bar and fresh organic veggies from our garden and local farmers at our Bio, Fair and Local Market.

In Amarante, local bands no longer need to play in the garage! We have a studio with the perfect conditions for the bands rehearsals. Each band can do it for free, we just ask them a concert per year!
It has hosted big names of local and national music and it is also with open doors for you.
